About the Role: Van Salesman

Petrolube Oil Company is seeking a Van Salesman to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role is ideal for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on executing sales plans and delivering products to customers within an assigned territory. The primary goal is to meet sales and customer service targets for lube products, automotive spare parts, and accessories, primarily serving puncture shops.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute sales plans and achieve daily sales and collection targets for the assigned territory.
  • Sell and deliver a range of products including lube products, automotive spare parts, and accessories such as filters and FIs.
  • Conduct daily reconciliation of sales and collections, processing invoices and receipts accurately.
  • Manage van stock levels, including replenishment, stock requests, and loading.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships with puncture shops, encouraging sales and ensuring timely payments.
  • Implement the Petrolube labor incentive program for puncture shop laborers.
  • Stay informed about market activities, competitor offerings, pricing, and identify new customer opportunities.

Daily Operations and Financial Management

  • Perform daily reconciliation, passing invoices to the supervisor for approval and submitting receipts and cash to the Branch Accountant.
  • For remote assignments, deposit cash daily in the bank and fax all receipts to the Branch Accountant.
  • Replenish van stock according to agreed levels, producing stock requests and loading approved items into the van.
  • Follow up on all collections, reporting and agreeing on action plans, with priority given to collections over 60 days.
  • Visit customers to collect payments or obtain explanations for delayed payments.

Sales, Customer Engagement, and Market Insight

  • Ensure daily sales and collection targets are consistently met.
  • Attend meetings with the supervisor to review customer accounts, discuss sales, collections, and delivery/collection dates.
  • Conduct regular visits to customer puncture shops to maintain relationships, encourage sales, and achieve other business outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit a Daily Visit Report to the supervisor.
  • Monitor market activity, including competitor products, prices, and discount schemes.
  • Identify new puncture shops and verify stock levels in existing shops.

Program Implementation and Reporting

  • Implement Petrolube’s labor incentive program by distributing incentives (*, telephone cards/charge vouchers) to puncture shop laborers.
  • Scan and record all issued cards/vouchers for each puncture shop and perform monthly reconciliation of the incentive program.
  • Prepare and execute a daily customer visit schedule based on assigned routes.

Requirements and Work Environment

The ideal candidate will have 0-1 years of relevant experience in sales or a similar field. This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern region. A strong commitment to achieving sales targets, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage daily operational tasks are essential for success in this role.
