The Role of Barista

Alhuraish Trading is seeking a Barista for a full-time, on-site position in Jeddah, Makkah. This role is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages to customers in a fast-paced retail setting. The Barista also contributes to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and efficient store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate coffee machines and prepare beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Prepare light food items as required.
• Greet customers, take orders, and process payments accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and customer seating area.
• Restock supplies and monitor product quality.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 0-1 year of experience; previous experience in a café, restaurant, or retail environment is preferred.
• Strong barista skills, including beverage preparation and familiarity with coffee equipment.
• Solid customer service and interpersonal skills to ensure a friendly and attentive guest experience.
• Clear communication skills for accurate order taking, team coordination, and customer inquiries.
• Basic food preparation skills and an understanding of hygiene and safety standards.
• Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and operating point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work various shifts, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
