About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Room Attendant to join their team. This full-time position involves maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction expected at a luxury hotel.

Role Overview

The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring guestrooms, public areas, and work areas are maintained to the established standards of Shangri-La Hotel. This includes the cleanliness, orderliness, and proper stocking of supplies and amenities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean a minimum of 15 guest rooms per 8-hour shift, adhering to established procedures.
  • Prepare blocked rooms for guest occupancy, prioritizing tasks as instructed.
  • Perform turndown service following established procedures and standards.
  • Immediately report any loss or damage to linen, furniture, fixtures, or equipment to the relevant departments and follow up as needed.
  • Transfer furniture and fixtures as required.
  • Conduct daily checks of light fixtures in assigned restrooms and lockers for cleanliness and condition.
  • Clean walls, mirrors, and lighting in accordance with cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Clean and scrub sinks, toilet bowls, and urinals, ensuring adherence to cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a room attendant, preferably in a five-star hotel environment.
  • The ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Willingness to work extended duty hours when required.

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah.
