The position involves coordinating teams, monitoring performance, managing budgets, and implementing operational policies.
Operational Leadership and Strategy
The Head of Unit will develop and implement short- and long-term operational strategies, plans, policies, and controls in alignment with the Group's corporate strategy. This includes developing and executing annual business plans, volume growth strategies, and service expansion initiatives to meet revenue and profitability targets. Regulatory Compliance and Performance Management
Ensuring full compliance with guidelines from the Saudi Ministry of Health (MOH), Council of Health Insurance (CHI), CBAHI, Civil Defense, Municipality, NPHIES, and other relevant bodies is critical. The role involves leading unit-level readiness for audits and accreditation cycles, reviewing licensing and operational documentation, and formulating corrective action plans. Performance management includes defining and managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), chairing performance reviews, monitoring KPIs, and improving payer mix and revenue cycle performance. The Head of Unit is responsible for unit-level budget development, planning, and management, approving operational expenditures, and enforcing cost optimization programs.

Responsibilities include managing capacity planning, effective cross-departmental resource allocation, and leading performance management, talent assessment, engagement, and succession planning for clinical and non-clinical staff. The Head of Unit will foster leadership development, mentor departmental heads, and oversee workforce planning and recruitment in partnership with Group HR. Championing patient experience and service excellence initiatives, defining and monitoring benchmarks for patient satisfaction and clinical quality, and ensuring timely resolution of patient complaints and grievances are also key aspects of the role.
Facility Operations and Data Analysis
The Head of Unit supervises facility maintenance, safety, biomedical equipment servicing, and operational continuity. This includes monitoring vendor performance, managing supply chains for medical and non-medical items, and recommending improvements in procurement and inventory management. Ensuring business continuity, emergency preparedness, and disaster recovery readiness is also a responsibility. The role utilizes data analytics to monitor department performance, identify improvement areas, and support strategic decision-making and business growth initiatives through predictive and trend analysis. Reporting key performance indicators and operational metrics to senior management is also required.
