Machine Operator

About the Role

Unilever is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team in Jeddah, Mecca Region. This full-time role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery within a manufacturing environment. The Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring high-quality product output, smooth machine operation at full capacity, and proper maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety, health, and quality regulations.
• Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to the supervisor.
• Set up machinery for operation and adjust it as necessary to improve performance.
• Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform routine maintenance.
• Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
• Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
• Inspect parts using precision and measuring tools.
• Fix issues that may occur during the shift.
• Check output to identify any machine-related mistakes or flaws.
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products, and maintain activity logs.
• Compound or process ingredients or dyes according to formulas.
• Read work orders to determine production specifications or information.
• Observe production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times.
• Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment.
• Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3-6 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing machinery.
• Proficiency in performing quality control and adhering to safety regulations.
