Job Purpose:
The Service Technician will address technical and automation issues faced by our clients using Lucy products. This includes addressing claims related to product quality and damages due to user handling or maloperation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and service of all Lucy products.
• Demonstrate the correct operation of Lucy products.
• Conduct inspections on-site and in the shop.
• Analyze client issues and document site visits.
• Achieve daily targets while ensuring a safe working environment.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should have knowledge of electrical components, wiring diagrams, and experience working in an engineering and manufacturing environment. Proficiency in Microsoft programs is also required. A collaborative spirit combined with the ability to work independently is key, along with effective communication skills in both English and Arabic.

Join Vanderlande as a Maintenance Technician
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for executing maintenance duties and responding to reactive calls within the Material Handling System. Your expertise ensures productivity and output, equipment asset availability, compliance with health & safety standards, and adherence to quality protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of machinery and electrical equipment, including motors, electrical circuits, ATR systems, baggage handling equipment, and conveyor systems.
• Work in accordance with diagrams, electrical drawings, operational manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications utilizing hand tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or higher in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in electro-mechanical or electrical maintenance.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings/prints is essential.
• Preferred minimum of 2 years of material handling experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of control systems (PLC, PC).
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Airport ID Badge.

Job Objective:
Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems for material handling equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on material handling equipment such as reach stackers, forklifts, and terminal tractors.
• Diagnose and inspect electrical faults in control systems, CAN bus networks, wiring, and components, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Test electrical, hydraulic, and control circuits using diagnostic tools and specialized equipment.
• Utilize service and diagnostic tools for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting tasks.
• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical diagrams and technical manuals.
• Coordinate with engineers and technicians to plan and execute maintenance and repair activities.
• Assist in resource planning and support lead engineers in scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records, analyze performance data, and recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably with industrial or port equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with safety standards and a commitment to maintaining a safety-focused work environment.
