Qualifications and Skills:
  • Diploma in Refrigeration Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years in a technician role.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia and Freon systems.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills for mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Experience servicing reciprocating, screw, and scroll compressors, as well as condensing units and packaged refrigeration units.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and troubleshoot PLC-based or controller-based systems.
  • Proficiency in using gauges, multimeters, vacuum pumps, and recovery units.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols for handling refrigerants, pressurized equipment, and electrical systems.
