Job Purpose:
To perform daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping, compliance with financial regulations, and support for financial analysis, contributing to the financial integrity of the organization.

Accountabilities:
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records by processing accounts payable and receivable transactions to support cash flow and ensure accurate financial data.
  • Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly to verify accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, supporting the preparation of financial statements and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights on budget variances, cost control, and spending trends, supporting management decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors and tax authorities as required.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing financial information, reports, and documentation to ensure accurate audit outcomes and compliance.
  • Monitor and review expense reports, invoices, and purchase orders to ensure adherence to budget and prevent discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial projects, system enhancements, and process improvements that streamline accounting operations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional accounting certification (*, CPA, CMA) is a plus.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar financial role.
  • Previous experience in FMCG or a fast-paced industry environment is advantageous.

Skills and Attributes:
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and accounting software; SAP experience preferred.
  • Training in IFRS or GAAP standards.
  • Familiarity with internal controls and audit processes.
