Operations Manager, Hilton Makkah

Hilton is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee daily hotel operations in Makkah. This full-time position is central to delivering memorable guest experiences and ensuring the highest standards of hospitality. The role requires a professional with a strong operational background and a commitment to excellence.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Operations Manager supports the overall strategic management of the hotel by fostering effective working relationships with senior colleagues, including the General Manager, Director of Business Development, Financial Controller, and HR Director. This position involves direct oversight of key operational departments to ensure efficiency, adherence to standards, and optimal guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee operations for Front Office, Housekeeping, Security, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Recreation, and Food Safety.
• Actively participate in key management issues such as capital projects, refurbishments, training, and customer service initiatives.
• Train team members and ensure the implementation of Hilton standards and departmental regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections of all hotel areas to ensure optimal condition of facilities and services.
• Develop and implement detailed cost control plans for each department to maximize operating profits while upholding Hilton standards and guest experience.
• Analyze monthly costs and prepare action plans for cost per occupied room, food costs, beverage costs, payroll (including overtime), and other expenses.
• Professionally manage direct reports to ensure effective teamwork and operational performance.
• Plan or approve annual, quarterly, and monthly budgets, targets, and work plans for direct reports.
• Conduct regular Operations meetings with all direct reports.
• Supervise daily team member performance and grooming standards.
• Ensure duty rosters are aligned with hotel needs and compliant with labor laws.
• Ensure the hotel and direct reports achieve key targets, including revenue, profit, SALT, QA, and turnover.
• Collaborate with the Director of Business Development and F&B Managers to ensure cost-effective F&B operations.
• Assist the Director of Business Development in establishing an efficient and competitive C&C strategy and pricing.
• Supervise and lead all hotel activities, including celebrations, decorations, and coordination with conference organizers.
• Evaluate competitors’ products and price policies bi-annually.
• Ensure VIP guests receive exceptional care and service.
• Adhere to the hotel’s security and emergency policies and procedures.
• Assist the General Manager in all activities and functions related to daily hotel operations and complete assigned tasks.

Required Experience and Attributes
