Key Responsibilities:
  • Take full responsibility for the pastry and bakery kitchen section.
  • Create high-quality and creative pastry products to satisfy customers.
  • Follow instructions from superiors to complete daily tasks.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in daily preparation and stay updated with new pastry recipes and techniques.
  • Instruct and lead subordinates in food preparation and participate in buffet setups and special functions.
  • Coordinate with other sections regarding cleanliness, wastage, and cost control.
  • Consult on daily pastry requirements and last-minute events.
  • Maintain high hygiene standards within the pastry kitchen.

Requirements:
  • Professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course.
  • Previous experience in the pastry section with strong culinary skills.
  • Ability to communicate well in English.
  • Proven knowledge in pastry preparation, presentation, and preservation.
