About the Opportunity
Nesma Infrastructure & Technology is seeking a Quantity Surveying Team Leader to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting the Quantity Survey Manager in the administration of contracts, claims, and commercial procedures, while leading a dedicated Quantity Surveying team.
Role Overview
The Quantity Surveying Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the Quantity Surveying team and managing critical commercial aspects of projects. This includes handling client and subcontractor interim and final payment certifications, variations, claims, and comprehensive cost reporting to ensure robust commercial control across all assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and mentor junior and senior Quantity Surveyors.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of QS outputs.
- Manage both pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying activities.
- Prepare, review, and finalize client interim and final payment certificates.
- Prepare, review, and finalize subcontractor and vendor payment certificates.
- Manage and track variations, change orders, and claims, ensuring proper valuation and thorough documentation.
- Support the resolution of commercial and contractual disputes.
- Review subcontractor and vendor certificates of payment.
- Prepare periodic commercial, financial, and cost reports.
- Coordinate effectively with project management, procurement, engineering, and construction teams.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project delivery.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying.
- Willingness to work on-site in challenging or remote environments.
Work Location and Type
This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires on-site presence, potentially in challenging or remote project locations, to support project delivery.
