Role Overview: Account Manager
The Account Manager (AM) will be responsible for proactively developing new client relationships and expanding business within assigned territories. This role requires close collaboration with Technical, Channel Partner, and Marketing teams to create effective selling strategies and campaigns. The Account Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, articulating and promoting Trend Micro's value proposition and services to achieve and exceed sales targets, thereby contributing to the overall sales performance of the region. This is a full-time position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and target prospects and existing clients to drive the adoption of Trend Micro technologies and services.
- Increase market share within the defined territory by developing and executing market strategies for each product and service.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the assigned territory and connect with CIOs/CISOs to generate and grow opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Pre-Sales, Marketing, and Sales Heads, to deliver the appropriate value proposition to Channel CEOs and their sales and technical teams.
- Achieve quarterly revenue goals in alignment with Business Unit objectives.
- Cultivate relationships with ecosystem partners, including alliances and technology partners such as AWS, Microsoft, Vmware, and Google.
- Document and maintain all account information within Salesforce to support opportunity management, accurate revenue forecasting, and account planning.
- Communicate relevant information to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their business needs and requirements.
- Consult with customers on cybersecurity initiatives and maintain constant engagement from initial demos through post-implementation support.
- Lead and support client meetings and calls.
- Conduct and participate in account review meetings to discuss customer experience, service performance, client feedback, and potential future opportunities.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience, with a preference for several years in the security industry.
- Proven account management experience within the commercial sector.
- Demonstrated ability to sell value to CIOs and manage complex customer scenarios, showcasing both technical and sales expertise.
- Knowledge of the competitive landscape, emerging cybersecurity technologies, and industry trends such as Cloud, Digital Transformation, and IIoT.
- Familiarity with country regulations that impact target markets.
- A growth-oriented mindset and experience working in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to network effectively and build strong relationships with senior executives.
- Proficiency in presenting business value propositions and explaining complex technology solutions and benefits in clear, business-oriented language.
- Exposure to both end-customer environments and channel partner ecosystems is advantageous.
- Knowledge of security frameworks like Zero Trust, SASE, UEBA, XDR, and security platforms such as SIEM and SOAR is considered an added advantage.
- Account Management certifications (*, SPIN, TAS) and Sales-Based Certifications are highly regarded.
- Security Certifications are beneficial.
