The Asset Management Systems Functional Consultant will be instrumental in assisting electric utility clients with the design, implementation, and optimization of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions. This role involves translating business and operational requirements into system configurations, process improvements, and data models to enhance reliability, ensure compliance, and optimize the lifecycle value of assets across Generation, Transmission, and Distribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or support requirement gathering, functional design, configuration, and implementation of EAM and APM platforms.
  • Serve as a functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for asset management processes during implementation projects, upgrades, and rollouts.
  • Support system configuration, validation, testing, and user acceptance activities.
  • Conduct As-Is / To-Be assessments, gap analysis, and process harmonization workshops with stakeholders.
  • Design and document end-to-end asset management processes, including work management, preventive and condition-based maintenance, asset lifecycle and replacement planning, and failure and defect management.
  • Develop business process flows, functional specifications, configuration workbooks, and solution design documents.
  • Contribute to Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Risk-Based Maintenance (RBM), Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA/FMEA), and Asset Health Index (AHI) frameworks.
  • Support the translation of reliability and risk models into EAM/APM system logic, thresholds, and workflows.
  • Support APM use cases including condition monitoring integration, asset health scoring, failure probability and criticality assessment, and predictive and diagnostic analytics enablement.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to ensure asset-centric data structures support APM outcomes.
  • Support asset data quality assessments, data cleansing initiatives, and master data alignment during EAM/APM implementations.
  • Assist in defining asset master data structures, hierarchies, naming conventions, and governance practices.
  • Support functional alignment and integration of EAM with SCADA / condition monitoring systems, SCADA / EMS systems, GIS, ERP, Field Service Management (FSM), and reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Provide functional input to technical teams for integrations, without acting as an integration architect.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or a related discipline).
  • 12 to 15+ years of experience in EAM and APM implementation projects.
  • Strong understanding of electric utility operations, including Transmission & Distribution (T&D) and substations.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM Maximo / IBM MAS or similar EAM / APM platforms.
  • Experience in RCM, FMECA, APM, asset health, failure analysis, and maintenance optimization.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires mobility of approximately 10% worldwide for international assignments, depending on business development or project needs.
