About the Role

Havelock One Interiors is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to expanding our client base and strengthening existing relationships. The role involves understanding client development strategies and aspirations, and strategically presenting Havelock One Interiors' capabilities to foster partnerships in future developmental projects. Success in this position requires thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions and services the company provides, and its competitive advantages, alongside strategic planning for future development.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect for potential new clients and convert these into increased business opportunities.
• Oversee marketing strategy and communications, including new market investigation and account strategy.
• Research and build relationships with new clients, as well as identify new projects in selective sectors.
• Utilize internal and external tools to compile a project opportunity pipeline and establish action plans for each opportunity based on agreed targets.
• Plan and collaborate with the projects team to develop proposals that address client needs, concerns, and objectives.
• Set up meetings between client decision-makers and the company’s Directors/Principals.
• Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
• Employ a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately, presenting an image that mirrors that of the client.
• Build up and enhance new client relationships, and arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
• Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
• Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company’s people and capabilities, and its goals and purpose to continually enhance performance.

Strategic Focus and Network Development

A key aspect of this role is establishing a robust network of relationships with work providers, including designers and consultants, to develop a consistent pipeline of new business. The Business Development Manager will operate across all sectors Havelock One Interiors serves, with a strategic emphasis on enhancing commercial office fit-out opportunities. An established relationship network is crucial for driving future development and achieving strategic growth targets.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in business development or a related field.
• Effective communication and influencing skills when dealing with senior levels of client organizations and decision-makers.
• Proven ability in creating and delivering business development strategies, with demonstrated success in achieving growth targets.
• Knowledge of estimating services, including value engineering.
• Possess gravitas and a charismatic personality to establish rapport with key influencers and diverse groups of professionals.
• Proven track-record of influential networking within the market with relevant clients.
• Expertise in developing business sectors within a challenging and competitive fit-out market in KSA.
• Ability to work effectively across the organization and lead initiatives to successful completion.
