People Group Arabia is seeking a Commercial Director to join a high-profile major development project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is for a commercially astute professional with experience delivering complex, large-scale projects.

The Role of Commercial Director

The Commercial Director will play a key role in driving commercial strategy, overseeing procurement activities, and managing package delivery across the full project lifecycle. This position requires a well-rounded commercial professional with a strong background in both pre-contract procurement and post-contract delivery. The immediate focus will be on supporting pre-contract activities, with the role transitioning into full commercial management as the project progresses.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement commercial strategy for the project.
• Oversee all procurement activities from pre-contract through to delivery.
• Manage the delivery of complex commercial packages, including:
  • Early Works & Track
  • MEP
  • Finishes
• Ensure effective management of packages from procurement through to completion.
• Engage in strong stakeholder management and negotiation processes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 10-15 years of experience within a commercial leadership role.
• Previous experience working for a major, well-known main contractor (Tier 1).
• Strong expertise across procurement and commercial package delivery.
• Proven ability to manage complex packages from procurement through to completion.
• Experience overseeing large-scale, high-value construction projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

Project Context

This role is integral to a major development project in Riyadh. The Commercial Director will initially focus on supporting pre-contract activities, with responsibilities expanding to full commercial management as the project progresses through its various stages.
