Construction Manager/Project Manager Electrical SS

About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Construction Manager/Project Manager Electrical SS to lead the construction and execution of HV/EHV substation projects. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that all HV/EHV substation projects are delivered in full compliance with SEC standards and requirements, approved drawings, project specifications, HSE standards, and established project schedules. The manager will oversee all electrical construction activities from planning to handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all electrical construction activities for HV/EHV substations.
• Oversee the installation of critical components including transformers, GIS/AIS, switchgear, circuit breakers, CT/PT, protection & control systems, SCADA, AC/DC systems, and earthing.
• Plan and monitor construction activities, schedules, manpower, material procurement, and resource allocation.
• Ensure all work strictly complies with SEC standards, approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable IEC standards.
• Coordinate effectively with Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, T&C, and subcontractor teams.
• Review method statements, ITPs, shop drawings, and other technical submissions.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement necessary recovery actions.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, energization, and final project handover.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure productivity and resource availability.
• Liaise directly with SEC/client representatives and consultants for approvals, inspections, and technical matters.
• Monitor quality, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and punch points, ensuring timely closure.
• Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates to project management.
• Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety protocols, Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, and all HSE requirements.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in managing construction and execution of HV/EHV substation projects, with a strong understanding of SEC standards and electrical safety protocols.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, involving leadership and coordination across various project teams and external stakeholders.
