About the Role

Bechtel Corporation is seeking an experienced Field Engineering E&I professional to join the team in Taif and Riyadh. This full-time role involves managing construction engineering tasks and activities within the electrical and instrumentation and controls discipline, ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards. The position is critical for the Ar Rjum Project, a greenfield gold project located approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh.

Project Overview

The Ar Rjum Project encompasses three open-pit mining operations, associated waste dumps and ore stockpiles, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and comprehensive supporting infrastructure. This infrastructure includes water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, and both temporary and permanent accommodation villages. The project site is situated about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, a small town on the Jeddah - Riyadh highway, within the Central Arabian Gold Region.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with engineering teams on constructability and design issues related to commodity installations and work sequencing.
• Provide field engineering support to superintendents, assisting personnel in meeting cost and time schedules, verifying materials, equipment, and quality, and ensuring results meet design requirements.
• Develop work plans, coordinate material take-offs and requisitions, perform and document inspections, report progress, and resolve design and construction conflicts for electrical commodities.
• Ensure procedural compliance, material control, and thorough documentation of inspections for completed work.
• Direct or perform the preparation of quantity listings for field-purchased material and equipment, and initiate requisitions for field material purchases.
• Support the preparation of construction drawings and schedules, design of temporary construction facilities, and ensure the preparation of as-built drawings and other job plans.
• Support the planning and delivery of construction materials and equipment, ensuring proper warehousing and storage for environmental protection.
• Review specifications, purchase orders, subcontracts, inspection reports, delivery schedules, instruction manuals, and technical data to provide on-site assistance and advice.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in field engineering, specifically within electrical and instrumentation and controls.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret design and vendor drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in managing cable installations and terminations.
• Experience conducting field verification of materials.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform detailed inspections and produce accurate, clear, and concise documentation.
• Capability to provide technical direction to field electrical and instrumentation personnel.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Taif and Riyadh, supporting a large-scale greenfield gold project. The role requires active involvement in site operations, coordinating with various teams to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and safely.
