About the Maintenance Planner Role

Nestlé is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to leading, governing, and enhancing the maintenance planning processes across the site. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for establishing and executing maintenance plans for all site assets, ensuring operations are safe, compliant, and achieve high performance levels while maintaining food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive routine and extraordinary maintenance plans for all site assets to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Integrate Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance plans into the Asset & Maintenance Management (AMM) system.
  • Lead and govern the maintenance planning standard routine, including task prioritization, scheduling maintenance shutdowns in collaboration with production, and reviewing work order execution results for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with third-party maintenance service providers and the technical store team to ensure timely task execution and efficient kitting processes.
  • Monitor and track the execution of maintenance activities, addressing deviations promptly and implementing measures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with AMM standards, regulatory requirements, and established maintenance plans.

Driving Maintenance Excellence and Digital Integration

This role involves optimizing maintenance plans within AMM to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of the planning system. The Maintenance Planner will coordinate the deployment of Maintenance Excellence Packages (MEP) across the site, establishing governance to align asset performance and maintenance costs with expected MEP benefits. A key focus is leveraging digital solutions to enhance asset reliability and optimize maintenance routines, including integrating Predictive Maintenance (PdM) into AMM, real-time reporting of technical parameters, and adopting AMM Mobile. Additionally, the role includes analyzing and optimizing life cycle costs of maintenance activities, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting the preparation of maintenance plans for CAPEX and new lines.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a reputed College/University.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a maintenance area, preferably within Plant Operations & Maintenance (2-3 years specifically).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Asset Maintenance Management (AMM) systems.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, reliability-centered maintenance, and asset management principles.
  • Insight into TPM PM Pillar methodology and Governance.

Essential Skills and Technical Proficiency

  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), specifically SAP, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines consistently.
