About the Maintenance Supervisor Role

Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for a range of duties focused on managing and optimizing maintenance activities. This includes:

• Following established procedures to identify the nature and scope of maintenance needs, and estimating the required materials and associated costs.
• Assigning tasks and duties to maintenance team members based on their individual capabilities and expertise.
• Monitoring and evaluating the performance of the maintenance team, assessing their accomplishments against set objectives.
• Identifying training needs within the maintenance team, developing their skills, or recommending enrollment in specialized training programs.
• Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs, and overseeing their execution.
• Classifying, organizing, documenting, and archiving work results and reports.

Core Duties and Tasks

The day-to-day functions of the Maintenance Supervisor are critical to the smooth operation of maintenance services. These tasks include:

• Preparing comprehensive work plans and programs.
• Conducting follow-ups on procedures to accurately determine the type and nature of maintenance required.
• Effectively distributing tasks and responsibilities to the work team.
• Assessing and designing training needs for the maintenance team to enhance their capabilities.
• Establishing and managing the preventive maintenance program.

Experience and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates are expected to possess specific experience and qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 5 years of experience in a relevant maintenance supervisory role.
