About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) is seeking a Manager - Environment and Sustainability to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive sustainability initiatives. This role is central to driving QIC's environmental agenda, focusing on environmental stewardship, community engagement, and social responsibility, in alignment with the company's strategic objectives. Reporting to the Director of Environment & Sustainability, this position will act as a key liaison for environmental compliance, sustainability reporting, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring sustainability principles are integrated across all operations and developments.

The Manager will oversee various projects, implement innovative solutions to minimize environmental impact, and contribute to QIC's vision of becoming a leading destination for entertainment, sports, and the arts. This role is critical in establishing and maintaining QIC's commitment to environmental excellence and sustainable practices within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainability management frameworks and programs aligned with QIC's corporate strategies and objectives.
• Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international best practices.
• Lead sustainability assessments, audits, and initiatives to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, community groups, and industry associations, to foster support for sustainability initiatives.
• Facilitate training and awareness programs for employees on sustainability standards, practices, and compliance measures.
• Contribute to project planning and execution by providing sustainability insights and recommendations to ensure best practices are followed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into all stages of project development, from conception to execution.
• Collect, analyze, and present data related to environmental impact, sustainability practices, and compliance on a regular basis.
• Participate in the development and management of budgets for sustainability initiatives and projects.
• Stay updated on trends, regulations, and innovations in sustainability and environmental management to inform QIC strategy.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in environmental management, sustainability, or a related field within large-scale projects or organizations.
• Experience in the Middle East, particularly in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is preferred.
• A proven track record in implementing sustainability initiatives and managing environmental compliance.
• A deep understanding of local and international environmental regulations and standards.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience in team management and project oversight.
• Willingness to travel as required to project sites and meetings.
