Job Description
About the Role
Omrania is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join its site supervision team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications and standards through dedicated on-site mechanical inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site mechanical inspections of equipment, systems, and components to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical installations, including piping, HVAC systems, and industrial machinery.
- Identify and document defects, non-conformities, and potential issues during inspections.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain accurate records of findings.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address and resolve mechanical issues.
- Verify that corrective actions are implemented effectively and in a timely manner.
- Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in mechanical inspection.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise as required.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures during all on-site activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical building services, encompassing installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning.
- Proven track record in inspections of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, gas, and fuel systems.
- Previous experience within engineering consultancies is preferred.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and material specifications.
- Strong proficiency in mechanical inspection techniques, quality control protocols, and industry compliance standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, and local Saudi codes).
- Skilled in using inspection, documentation, and reporting tools/software.
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing and the project lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve site issues efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective coordination and reporting.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail to maintain quality standards.
Work Environment and Expectations
The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments. The successful candidate must be willing to work across various project sites within Riyadh and, if required, across Saudi Arabia.
