Abbott is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (Biosimilar) to join its Established Pharmaceuticals division in Riyadh. This full-time position is based at our field site location in Riyadh. Role Overview

The Medical Science Liaison will provide scientific and technical support, acting as a scientific expert within the assigned therapeutic area. This role involves maintaining professional relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and academic centers to ensure access to current medical and scientific information. The position also supports internal teams and external stakeholders with scientific expertise and information.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical support to maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders and academic centers.
• Act as a scientific expert in the therapeutic area and develop resources for the therapy team.
• Assist with special projects including medical affairs, continuing medical education, advisory boards, KOL development, scientific reviews, local clinical trials, and investigator clinical meetings.
• Respond to internal and external queries by providing accurate scientific and medical information, including adverse event reporting.
• Maintain contact with physicians and opinion leaders in the assigned geographic area to address their scientific knowledge needs.
• Deliver credible scientific presentations to physicians, individually or in groups, as requested.
• Establish relationships with medical specialist groups and societies to expand research, advisory, and educational partnership opportunities.
• Participate in identifying qualified physicians and KOLs for collaborative efforts, ensuring scientific and educational integrity.
• Develop awareness of competitor issues and intelligence, communicating relevant information internally.
• Attend relevant Scientific Societies meetings and Conferences, summarizing key messages for internal use.
• Assist physicians with requests for access to Company products on a named patient or compassionate use basis, adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
• Support sales, marketing, and internal teams by delivering scientific update presentations to enhance their expertise.
• Ensure up-to-date knowledge of product uses and external data through medical trainings for the therapeutic area team.
• Provide scientific and technical support to key opinion leaders and internal medical/clinical teams for publications.
• Ensure all activities comply with applicable local, global, and national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, Company policies, and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background and the ability to effectively communicate complex medical information.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within Abbott's Established Pharmaceuticals division. The role involves working with a broad portfolio of high-quality branded generic medicines across multiple therapeutic areas.
