About the Role

Amazon is seeking a motivated Operations Tech SME (Subject Matter Expert) to join its Quick Commerce team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to supporting high-growth, technology-enabled operations. You will act as a key liaison between Operations, Product, and Tech teams, ensuring smooth launches, stable system workflows, and a positive customer experience. The primary focus will be on troubleshooting system issues, validating operational accuracy, and ensuring process readiness for successful day-one performance of new sites or products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead operational readiness initiatives and actively support launch activities, ensuring workflows, tools, and processes function as expected.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues by collaborating closely with Tech, Product, and Operations teams.
  • Conduct structured testing, validate process accuracy, and identify gaps or potential issues before product or site launches.
  • Support data validation efforts related to operational workflows and customer-facing promises to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Coordinate effectively with cross-functional partners to resolve defects and ensure complete readiness for go-live.
  • Monitor performance post-launch, promptly escalate emerging issues, and drive timely root-cause resolution.
  • Identify recurring patterns in operational issues, propose long-term fixes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate clearly with all stakeholders, providing timely updates, comprehensive documentation, and status reports.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations, or a related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in operations, technical support, or product/tech coordination roles.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting system or process issues and driving them to resolution.
  • Ability to work with data, validate its accuracy, and perform basic analysis using tools like Excel or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively cross-functionally.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
  • Experience supporting technology-enabled operations or launch environments.
  • Understanding of workflow testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing) processes, or structured defect validation.
  • Ability to analyze root causes, identify patterns, and recommend long-term improvements.
  • Experience working with product, tech, or last-mile/fulfillment teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a bias for action and a high degree of ownership.
