About the Project Coordinator Role

Horizons Contracting Company (HCC) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Coordinator for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role is crucial for managing and facilitating coordination activities between project sites, head office functions, government authorities, and key stakeholders, including King Saud University (KSU) and Riyadh Valley Company (RVC). The Project Coordinator will ensure compliance with regulations, accelerate project delivery, resolve bottlenecks, and maintain effective communication across all parties involved.

Head Office Coordination Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Following up on all project requests and requirements with head office departments to ensure timely support.
  • Prioritizing and accelerating critical material, equipment, and subcontractor requests with the Procurement Department.
  • Coordinating with the Technical and Engineering Department for the timely availability of shop drawings and engineering information.
  • Ensuring timely processing of approved project payments with the Finance Department.
  • Liaising with HR, Administration, and other support functions to address operational needs.
  • Preparing and maintaining trackers for pending requests, deliverables, and action items across head office departments.

Authorities and Stakeholder Coordination

This role involves significant coordination with external entities:

  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Riyadh's authorities' requirements and construction regulations.
  • Planning and ensuring compliance with all authority requirements, coordinating with the project team.
  • Arranging and managing meetings with relevant authorities to prevent issues or delays.
  • Overseeing permit applications, approvals, inspections, and regulatory submissions.
  • Maintaining organized records of all authority correspondence and compliance documentation.
  • Contributing to periodic meetings with King Saud University (KSU) and coordinating with KSU maintenance and project management departments.
  • Managing construction-related logistics, traffic management, and services tie-in points with KSU infrastructure teams.
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with KSU and Riyadh Valley Company (RVC) stakeholders.
  • Preparing meeting minutes, action items, and progress reports for KSU and RVC coordination meetings.

Project Support and Reporting

The Project Coordinator will provide essential support to the project leadership and team:

  • Supporting the Project Director and project team with daily coordination and administrative tasks.
  • Preparing regular coordination reports, status updates, and progress summaries for management.
  • Tracking and escalating outstanding issues, bottlenecks, and risks impacting project timelines.
  • Maintaining organized project files, correspondence records, and coordination logs.
  • Facilitating internal coordination meetings and ensuring follow-up on action items.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a Saudi National.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in buildings construction, with demonstrated exposure to coordination with government bodies and authorities.
  • Active membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
  • Excellent Arabic and English communication skills are mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi construction regulations, authority requirements, and permitting processes.
  • Experience working on projects involving coordination with universities, government entities, or public sector stakeholders is preferred.
  • Preference will be given to current employees within Ezdihar Group.
