About the Role

Saudi Emaar Group is seeking a dedicated Planning Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This is a full-time position focused on ensuring the efficient planning, scheduling, and monitoring of projects to meet established timelines and objectives.

Role Overview

The Planning Engineer plays a crucial role in project execution by developing, updating, and tracking project schedules. This position involves analyzing progress, identifying deviations, and collaborating with various teams to implement corrective actions and maintain project momentum.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update project schedules, and monitor completion rates.
• Track work progress and compare actual performance against the approved plan.
• Generate periodic reports on project progress and identify time deviations.
• Analyze project delays, determine their root causes, and propose corrective measures.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure adherence to the project schedule.
• Develop work plans and time forecasts for upcoming project phases.
• Monitor resources and key activities, ensuring their alignment with the overall project plan.
• Contribute to the development of Recovery Plans in instances of implementation delays.
• Prepare and update performance indicators related to project progress.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering specialization.
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in project planning and monitoring.

Required Skills and Tools

• Proficiency in Primavera P6, with a preference for proficiency in Microsoft Project.
• Strong skills in preparing and analyzing reports using Microsoft Excel.
• High analytical, monitoring, and coordination abilities to work effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in the English language.
