PowerBi Specialist

About the Role

MIS - Al Moammar Information Systems Co. is seeking a Power BI Specialist to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves developing and managing robust Power BI solutions to support data-driven decision-making within the organization. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and transform data from various sources, including databases, Excel, ERP/CRM systems, and APIs.
• Build and optimize data models using Power Query and DAX, adhering to best practices such as star schema modeling.
• Design and develop interactive, visually appealing, and user-friendly Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Write SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Analyze data, identify trends and actionable insights, and present recommendations to management.
• Publish and manage reports in Power BI Service, including access permissions, Row-Level Security (RLS), and scheduled refreshes.
• Ensure data accuracy and quality, and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, metrics, and methodologies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of professional experience in a relevant role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, data modeling, and RLS.
• Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel.

Required Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong skills in data visualization, stakeholder management, and time management.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Python or R and fundamental statistical concepts.
