About the Role:
As a Procurement Engineer (Electromechanical – Maintenance) at Abdullah Al Othaim Investment Co., you will be responsible for managing and executing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services related to electromechanical systems for maintenance. Your role ensures that all purchases align with technical specifications, quality standards, deadlines, and budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess project needs for materials, services, and electromechanical equipment in coordination with maintenance and engineering teams.
• Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQ), analyze bids, and select appropriate suppliers.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and supply terms.
• Monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and verify quality conformity.
• Coordinate with technical and engineering teams to ensure procurement complies with project requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships and maintain an updated supplier performance database.
• Contribute to the improvement of procurement processes and cost reduction without compromising quality.
• Understand and apply procurement procedures and contract management, especially FIDIC contracts in contracting projects.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in electromechanical, maintenance, or contracting fields.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Proficient in procurement systems and ERP software.
• Good knowledge of technical specifications and standards related to electromechanical equipment.

Reporting Line:
Reports to the Maintenance Manager / Engineering Manager.

Job Purpose
Execute the main procurement activities including sourcing, contracting, and supplier developments in addition to purchasing requested materials, services, assets, MRO, and general purchasing with the right specifications, price, quality, and delivery time from the right source.

Key Accountability Areas

• Supplier Development and Evaluation: Develop suppliers to meet objectives related to cost savings, delivery performance, and materials quality. Perform regular supplier performance evaluations to establish development plans and strengthen business partnerships.
• Sourcing and Contracting: Execute sourcing and contracting plans based on the sourcing strategy. Maximize the number of contracted items to secure prices, delivery, payment terms, and quality.
• Procurement Execution: Understand detailed requirements for each purchase request and manage the execution of purchase requests through processing RFx from the approved supplier list.
• Materials and Specifications Management: Initiate alternative material specifications according to market availability and compare quotations based on approved comparison forms.
• Purchase Order Management: Ensure the PO has all required attached documents and follow the PO delivery schedule until materials are received.
• Procurement Coordination and Vendor Management: Contribute to procurement activities with required coordination and maintain vendor master information.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. 4 to 6 years of related work experience. Competencies include procurement, purchasing agreements, and supply chain management.

Position Summary:
The successful candidate will manage end-to-end procurement activities. We highly value candidates with experience in resort developments, golf courses, and urban landscape infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement of landscaping materials, infrastructure-related supplies, components, finishes, and items.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to ensure the best price and quality.
• Coordinate with project engineers and teams to understand material requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 710 years of experience in procurement or purchase engineering.
• Experience in sourcing for resorts, amusement parks, or large-scale projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vendor standards and logistics practices.
• Proficient in ERP systems and MS Office.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Able to multitask and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Candidate:
Previous experience in Mega or Giga Projects like Red Sea, Qiddiya, NEOM, etc., is highly desirable. Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
