About the Role

Aon in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Claims Executive to join the Commercial Risk department. This full-time position is based in our Riyadh offices.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Claims Executive will manage a portfolio of complex and high-value Commercial Risk claims from initial notification through to final settlement. This involves:

• Reviewing and interpreting policy wordings, endorsements, deductibles, limits, and exclusions to determine coverage.
• Conducting thorough investigations utilizing loss adjusters, surveyors, engineers, lawyers, and other experts.
• Assessing liability and quantum, and setting/reviewing case reserves in line with internal guidelines.
• Drafting clear coverage positions, reservations of rights, and declination letters as required.
• Identifying and pursuing subrogation, contribution, and recovery opportunities against third parties.
• Serving as the primary claims contact for assigned Commercial Risk clients and brokers, providing proactive and timely updates.
• Participating in client and broker review meetings and large-loss discussions.
• Supporting renewal and placement discussions with claims insights and loss trend analysis.
• Liaising with insurers, adjusters, and other experts to agree claim strategy and settlement.
• Ensuring claims handling complies with internal procedures, market practice, and local regulatory requirements.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date claim files and data within claims management systems.
• Contributing to claims management information, including large loss reports and portfolio trend reporting.
• Supporting internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Insurance, Risk Management, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
• Progress towards or interest in professional insurance qualifications (*, ACII or equivalent) is advantageous.
• A mandatory IFCE certificate and advanced English language proficiency.
• Typically, 5-7 years of experience in claims handling within the insurance or broking industry, ideally in Commercial Risk/General Lines.
• Experience within the Saudi insurance market.
• Exposure to Property, Casualty, and General Liability claims is desirable.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• A strong understanding of commercial insurance policies, key clauses, and claims processes.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret policy terms, quantify losses, and review documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Client service orientation with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
• A problem-solving approach with the ability to identify issues early and seek appropriate mentorship.
• The ability to work proactively and take ownership within defined parameters.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written) is required.
• Experience with claims, policy administration, or CRM systems is an advantage.
• High standards of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively across functions and geographies.

Work Environment

This is a full-time role based in Riyadh. The position requires working collaboratively within a team and reporting to senior colleagues.
