About the Role: Senior Customer Representative, Companion Animals

Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp is seeking a Senior Customer Representative for Companion Animals to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with customers in the companion animal sector, driving sales, and ensuring the successful implementation of company strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and achieve sales targets within the designated market.
• Manage customer sales and services to increase the company's market share by serving as the primary point of contact.
• Collaborate with customers to identify needs, provide solutions, and co-create value.
• Work with local marketing and technical services to implement programs and strategies effectively with key accounts.
• Educate customers on company brands, identify account issues, and coordinate with relevant personnel to resolve matters.
• Achieve or exceed qualitative and quantitative objectives.
• Conduct monthly estimation and forecasting of product volumes for customers.
• Negotiate and secure mutually beneficial agreements that align company resources with customer business needs.
• Inform the country lead about market trends or competitive initiatives impacting the business.
• Develop strategies to grow business with key ruminant customers in Western and Eastern regions, providing solutions to challenges.
• Ensure efficient spending that delivers a solid return on investment and supports long-term brand sustainability.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of company brands, their values, and market positioning.

Relationship Management and Sales Objectives

The Senior Customer Representative will focus on building mutually beneficial, profitable, and long-term relationships with companion animal customers. A core objective is to achieve budget targets and maximize sales in line with the company’s sales objectives for designated customers.

Market Analysis and Strategy

This role requires the ability to analyze customer and market data, identify opportunities addressable by the company’s Animal Health solutions, and anticipate factors that could impact strategies, plans, and market position. The representative will also coordinate the integration and exchange of information between the company’s Animal Health division and companion animal accounts.

Negotiation and Resource Optimization

Candidates should be skilled in negotiating effectively in challenging situations with both internal and external groups, aiming to secure concessions without damaging relationships. Understanding sales performance metrics and resource utilization is crucial to maximize the return on investment for the company’s Animal Health division.
