Role Overview: Senior Project Manager (Building and Operational Assets)

The Senior Project Manager (Building and Operational Assets) is a delivery-focused position responsible for overseeing multiple building and operational asset packages. This role ensures the successful execution of contractor activities, adherence to programme milestones, quality requirements, commercial objectives, and operational readiness. The successful candidate will serve as the primary interface among stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and project teams to drive delivery excellence throughout the remaining lifecycle of the works.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of assigned assets through construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all package-related delivery matters.
• Manage and coordinate consultants, contractors, and specialist stakeholders.
• Monitor progress against programme milestones and implement proactive measures to mitigate delays.
• Drive contractor performance and ensure strict adherence to contractual obligations.
• Review and manage project risks, opportunities, and key dependencies.
• Ensure that quality, safety, and compliance standards are consistently achieved throughout the delivery process.
• Interface with project controls, commercial, and technical teams to ensure alignment across the wider programme.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular reporting on progress, issues, and mitigation plans.
• Chair progress meetings, workshops, and package review sessions.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
• Support the successful handover of assets to operations and end users.
• Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and delivery updates.
