About the Opportunity

Kintec Global Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join a Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh. This is a contract opportunity with a multi-national corporation that provides consulting, engineering, and architecture services internationally.

Role Overview

This position is within the Infrastructure Division and requires specific expertise in Civil Engineering and Transportation projects. The focus will be on urban environments, particularly those involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels. As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overall project delivery, providing technical input to project teams, supporting the Site Team, fostering teamwork, and ensuring that client objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Director in the running of the project.
  • Advise on the sufficiency of design and information supplied, identifying any outstanding or conflicting design issues.
  • Liaise with all discipline Managers and Site Team leaders to ensure effective communication on project matters.
  • Develop and implement procedures for planning, managing, supervising construction works, and controlling project costs.
  • Review and approve technical documents submitted to the client by contractors.
  • Monitor overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet agreed standards and satisfy stakeholder requirements at each stage.
  • Monitor overall project stakeholder relationships and adjust strategies and plans for engaging stakeholders.
  • Apply change control and configuration management processes.
  • Report through agreed lines on project progress via highlight reports and end-stage assessments.
  • Maintain awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact.
  • Contribute to the resolution of technical issues during the lifecycle of the project.
  • Take a proactive role in establishing, assessing, and evaluating project management processes, sharing knowledge, identifying opportunities, and providing advice to improve processes and procedures.
  • Apply analytical and project management skills, as well as technical writing skills, at a task level.
  • Adopt and apply appropriate technical and quality strategies and standards.
  • Identify and obtain support and advice required for the management, planning, and control of the project.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be necessary or required by the client.

Candidate Requirements

  • More than 20 years of experience in project management.
  • Proven experience in supervising the construction of complex projects, primarily as a consultant. Candidates with exclusive contractor experience will not be considered.
  • Experience in at least one or more road projects is required. Candidates without clear road project experience will not be considered.
  • Willingness to work in a multinational environment.
  • Must be based in Riyadh.
  • For non-Saudi candidates, a transferable Iqama is essential.
  • Possession of a valid SCE membership.
