About the Service Logistics Operations Specialist Role

Lucid Motors Saudi Arabia is seeking a Service Logistics Operations Specialist - Spare Parts to manage and optimize the end-to-end logistics operations for OEM spare parts. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on ensuring the timely availability of spare parts to support the dealer and service network, thereby maximizing vehicle uptime and customer satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities in Spare Parts Logistics

The primary function of this role is to oversee the daily service logistics activities for OEM spare parts distribution. This includes coordinating inbound shipments from various sources such as OEM hubs, regional distribution centers, and local suppliers. A key aspect is ensuring efficient outbound delivery of spare parts to meet defined service-level targets and cut-off times.

Critical Spare Parts and VOR Management

This role is responsible for coordinating the logistics of Vehicle-Off-Road (VOR), emergency, and critical spare parts to minimize vehicle repair lead times. This involves closely monitoring VOR orders, their pipeline status, lead times, and overall delivery performance. The specialist will also escalate any supply or transport issues that impact dealer service performance and implement corrective actions to resolve them.

Third-Party Logistics and Transport Coordination

Collaboration with third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses and transportation providers is essential for managing spare parts storage and distribution. The specialist will monitor 3PL performance against OEM Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and operational standards. This includes ensuring the correct prioritization, picking, packing, and dispatch of spare parts, with a particular focus on urgent and VOR orders.

Reverse Logistics and Compliance

Management of spare parts reverse logistics is a significant part of this role, encompassing warranty part returns, core returns, campaign and recall returns, and defective or damage claims. The specialist must ensure correct documentation, traceability, segregation, and adherence to return timelines as per OEM requirements. Coordination with Warranty, Quality, and Finance teams is necessary for proper disposition and credit processes. Furthermore, ensuring compliance with OEM policies, SOPs, audit standards, and regulatory requirements, including HSE and transportation safety, is critical.

Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement

The role involves tracking and analyzing key spare parts logistics KPIs such as on-time delivery (OTD), VOR fulfillment time, transit lead time, and damage/shortage/claim rates. Regular operational reports will be prepared for management and OEM stakeholders. Identifying operational gaps and improvement opportunities across the spare parts logistics network is also a key responsibility. The specialist will participate in optimization initiatives, support new model launches from a logistics perspective, and contribute to digitalization efforts.

Qualifications and Required Skills

Candidates should possess 3-5 years of experience in service logistics or spare parts operations, ideally within an automotive OEM or authorized distributor environment. A strong understanding of automotive spare parts flows, VOR processes, and dealer service requirements is necessary. Experience coordinating with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and transport providers is required. Essential skills include a service-level and execution-focused mindset, excellent coordination and problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, proficiency in ERP and logistics systems (SAP preferred), strong analytical and reporting skills, and clear communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
