About the Role

alfanar is seeking a Sr. Engineer Product Development Electrical, Data Center to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position is central to designing, engineering, and developing customized containerized data center power modules. The role ensures the seamless integration of critical electrical systems, including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, and STS systems, within an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing environment.

Product Design and Engineering Responsibilities

• Design and engineer customized, containerized data center power solutions in line with client specifications and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) requirements.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for the integration of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, and STS systems.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, specifications, and internal engineering guidelines.

Technical Analysis and Continuous Improvement

• Analyze project requirements, technical constraints, and operational conditions to define optimal power module configurations.
• Conduct engineering evaluations and feasibility assessments to support design decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues arising during product development and system integration.
• Implement design enhancements to improve the efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability of data center power solutions.
• Identify and recommend innovative engineering approaches, components, and materials to optimize product performance and cost.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through design standardization and lessons learned integration.

Operational Accountabilities and Compliance

• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets according to delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time parameters.
• Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and the execution of planned tasks.
• Solve related problems as they arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
• Ensure quality requirements are met to develop effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products or related activities.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities where possible.
• Comply with all relevant company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant product development or electrical engineering role.
• Demonstrated ability to acquire and maintain updated soft and technical skills pertinent to the job function.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, contributing to alfanar's product development initiatives in the data center sector.
