Café Manager – Happyland Matcha

At Happyland Matcha, we’re on a mission to create a vibrant and welcoming space, serving exceptional matcha-based drinks and light, wholesome treats. Our new specialty matcha café focuses on refined sugar-free and gluten-free, with an emphasis on quality and creativity. We're looking for a Café Manager to be the heart of our café, serving delicious, hand-crafted matcha drinks with a smile.

Your Role

As Café Manager, you’ll be the person who keeps everything at Happyland running smoothly — from people to product. You’ll lead the daily operations of the café, helping with team scheduling, supplier coordination, and all operational details that keep the café running efficiently. Beyond the daily routine, you will play a key role in growing Happyland. You’ll collect feedback, help test new drinks, assist with pop-ups and events, and make sure the café always reflects our values — warm, creative, and community-driven.

Responsibilities:

Daily Operations

• Oversee daily café activities, including opening and closing.

• Make sure drinks are made to Happyland’s quality and presentation standards.

• Keep the café clean, organized, and running smoothly.

Team & Training

• Schedule shifts, train new team members, and motivate the team.

• Help create a positive, supportive, and happy work environment.

• Handle small issues or customer feedback calmly and professionally.

Stock & Equipment

• Track stock and ingredient inventory, place orders when needed.

• Ensure all equipment is clean and working well.

• Work with the team to test new menu items.

Sales & Reporting

• Handle daily cash-ups and basic sales reports.

• Monitor sales, bestsellers, and product waste.

• Work with the founders to plan new ideas and improve performance.

Customer Experience

• Maintain the warm, friendly Happyland atmosphere.

• Support any events, pop-ups, or collaborations.

Who We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of management experience in a café, restaurant, or service role.

• Confident leader who communicates clearly and motivates others.

• Organized, responsible, and calm under pressure.

• Comfortable using POS systems and basic spreadsheets.

• Excited to grow with a young, creative café brand.

Location

📍 JAX District, Diriyah – Riyadh

Hours

• Opening Date: Mid-November

• Standard Operating Hours: 11:00 AM – 12:00 AM

• Ramadan Hours: 8:00 PM – 3:00 AM

• Team members will work 6-8 hour shifts (rotating day and night shifts).

• 1 day off a week (to be allocated based on rotating shifts)
