Join Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) as an Electronics Hardware Technician! In this role, you will be an integral part of our Product Hospital operations, focusing on product failure analysis and repairs. If you thrive on hands-on troubleshooting and are committed to delivering excellent customer support, we want to hear from you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Test, repair, convert, and troubleshoot SEL products to the component level.
  • Provide technical support for SEL products to both staff and customers.
  • Collaborate effectively within an international team environment.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in SEL processes and products.
  • Train junior personnel in troubleshooting techniques.
  • Implement department objectives under your supervisor's guidance.

Required Qualifications:
  • Two-year electronics engineering technology degree or equivalent.
  • Strong English reading, technical writing, and speaking skills.
  • Basic working knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
  • Familiarity with modern test equipment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with component level troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of SEL equipment.
  • Technical presentation skills.
  • Data analysis skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 35 pounds occasionally.
  • Capability to sit and stand for at least 8 hours.
