As a key player in our kitchen team, you will assist the Chef de Cuisine in managing the kitchen operation effectively, ensuring maximum guest satisfaction through excellent culinary standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring they operate as a successful independent profit center.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and control kitchen activities.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene practices and adhere to occupational health and safety standards.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years work experience as a Sous Chef or 4 years as Chef de Partie in a reputable hotel or large restaurant.
  • Experience in luxury international brands is preferred.
  • Qualifications in Kitchen Production or Management are an advantage.
  • Basic computer skills in MS Office and knowledge of Recipe Maintenance Systems are preferred.

The Role
As a Demi Chef, your role is to serve the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by supporting the food production of the hotel.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

As Demi Chef you will need to:
  • Adhere to Red Sea Global Hospitality food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to our guests.
  • Supervise and oversee junior employees, maintain the section's operations, and uphold established standards.
  • Assist in the preparation & service of food, and complete any tasks required and to report and advise on any issue.
  • Continually aim to enhance and improve the culinary presentation guidelines.
  • Participate and attend company and department meetings and training sessions set by the company or department.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environment procedures, instructions, and control by consistently reviewing kitchen operations and products standards.
  • Perform any additional duties as required for operational smoothness.
