About the Role

Duruper is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QC Welding Inspector for a contract position. This role is essential for ensuring that all welding activities meet stringent quality standards and comply with the requirements of United Specialized Industrial Services for Cont. Ltd. Co. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining project integrity and safety through thorough inspections and verification of adherence to established procedures and international codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive welding inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
  • Verify the accuracy and validity of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
  • Coordinate and meticulously review Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities, ensuring proper execution and interpretation of results.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Aramco's Construction and Business (CBT) requirements, including all relevant documentation and qualifications.
  • Perform visual inspections of welds and related activities.
  • Monitor welding processes and techniques to ensure they align with approved procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records of all inspection activities, findings, and corrective actions.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in welding inspection.
  • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Mandatory Aramco Approval, including a valid SAP Number and confirmed CBT qualification.
  • Must hold either an AWS (American Welding Society) or CSWIP (Certification Scheme for Welding Inspection Personnel) certification.
  • Level II certification in Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT) is mandatory.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in conducting detailed welding inspections.
  • Expertise in verifying WPS and PQR documentation.
  • Strong capabilities in coordinating and reviewing NDT activities.
  • Thorough understanding and application of Aramco CBT requirements.
  • Knowledge of international welding codes and standards.

Work Environment

This is a contract position based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in welding inspection.
