About the Role: Sales Engineer

Atlas Copco is seeking a full-time Sales Engineer to join its Energy & Petrochemical team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This role is part of the Compressor Technique Business Area, which aims to be a leading provider of engineered solutions for instrument air and nitrogen gas generator packages within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other industrial segments requiring specialized solutions.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The Sales Engineer will drive the sales of Atlas Copco's engineered Air Compressor, Air treatment, and Gas generator products. This involves providing technical expertise and support to customers, collaborating with application and product management teams to deliver tailored solutions, and ensuring adherence to Atlas Copco's standards of safety and quality. A key aspect of the role is building strong client relationships and developing account-focused sales strategies to foster revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain regular communication and visits with key customers in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the Application Engineering Team and Product Management Team to review and interpret customer inquiries.
  • Analyze project requirements based on data sheets, specifications, P&IDs, and other customer-provided documents.
  • Perform preliminary sizing and product selection, supporting the Application Engineering Team in developing Process Flow Diagrams and technical/commercial proposals.
  • Clarify the scope of supply and technical compliance with support from the Application Engineer.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure favorable commercial terms for Atlas Copco.

Market Engagement and Technical Development

  • Combine an interest in complex engineering requirements and international standards with commercial acumen.
  • Ensure continuous vendor registration updates for products with Oil and Gas end-users in the region.
  • Maintain technical proficiency through involvement in new projects with EPCs and End Users from the FEED stage.
  • Understand competitors' activities, capabilities, and developments to support strategic planning.
  • Implement sales and marketing activities in C4C to ensure accurate market information and customer database.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to demonstrate product features and value.
  • Promote Atlas Copco's full portfolio of products and engineered systems within the Oil and Gas sector.
  • Participate in tenders and proposals from the Feed to Execution phase.
  • Develop a detailed installed base of equipment with end-users and identify replacement opportunities.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on regional development and performance.

This is an on-site position based at our office in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working as part of a dynamic team, fostering face-to-face collaboration.
