Key Responsibilities

• Validate the availability of all required documents, such as Job First Time (JFT) and Production Control Card (PCC), before commencing a new job to minimize downtime and ensure production consistency.
• Operate machinery according to the Work Instruction to ensure safe and sound runnability.
• Troubleshoot operational problems and request support when needed to minimize downtime and improve overall efficiency.
• Check and relay startup samples to the Production Section Head for approval before submitting them for Quality Control (QC) inspection, ensuring the quality of the initial run.
• Report any quality defects identified to QC and the Production Section Head so that necessary actions can be taken promptly.
• Assign tasks to machine helpers to ensure an organized production run and maintain the 5S conditions of the assigned machines and surrounding work area.

Qualifications and Requirements

As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide on-site technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for key industrial equipment, including Pumps, Cyclones, and Valves, primarily within the mining industry. The role requires a strong mechanical engineering background, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support during equipment installation, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize equipment downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks to ensure long-term equipment performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Engineering, Sales, and Project Management, to address complex technical issues.
• Support the sales team by identifying aftersales opportunities and advising customers on new equipment needs.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all service activities, including repairs, upgrades, and customer interactions.
• Perform safety checks, identify potential on-site risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide technical training to customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
• A minimum of 1 year of field service experience, with a preference for experience in the mining or cement industries.
• Hands-on experience with the maintenance, repair, and inspection of industrial equipment, specifically Pumps, Cyclones, and Valves, and ideally Knelson Concentrators.
• A strong understanding of mechanical systems; knowledge of control/automation systems is considered a plus.
• Familiarity with industrial safety regulations and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in field environments.
• Experience in technical report writing and documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel frequently across the region to support customer needs.
