About the Role
ALPLA Group is looking for a highly experienced and motivated Warehouse and Logistics Manager to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is an opportunity to manage and optimize all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations within a modern and international work environment. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and finished products, contributing to the company's continuous growth and success.
Role Responsibilities
As the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of inbound, operational, and outbound logistics processes. This role requires proactive leadership with a strong analytical mindset and a commitment to operational excellence, safety, and environmental responsibility.
- Manage all inbound logistics activities, overseeing the process from forecasts to material availability.
- Analyze forecasts against purchase orders and orders, evaluating process-related impacts.
- Responsibility for production planning and capacity analysis arrangements.
- Coordinate and determine appropriate inventory levels for all materials to ensure optimal inventory management.
- Monitor daily figures and analyze month-end reports for inbound logistics performance.
- Manage the sustainable flow and availability of raw materials, master batches, packaging materials, and other essential items, ensuring they are available in the right quantity, quality, place, and time.
- Manage and monitor the accuracy of all logistics activities within ALPLA Prod and Oracle systems.
- Oversee the management of material handling equipment for transport, loading, and unloading operations.
- Design and implement warehouse strategies for production materials and finished products.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency of inventory processes.
- Create and maintain stable and rigorous planning processes for all logistics operations.
- Lead the optimization of the current cost structure related to logistics operations.
- Responsibility for managing production waste.
- Manage all outbound logistics operations until final delivery of goods.
- Oversee warehouse and transport activities for outbound logistics.
- Determine and monitor inventory levels for semi-finished and finished products.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure the highest quality of delivery service.
- Evaluate and recommend optimal shipping methods, routes, and carriers to meet necessary standards, specifications, and cost objectives.
- Negotiate prices with carriers and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
- Establish and monitor performance standards and metrics for management.
- Follow up, review, and develop procedures related to logistics and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Follow up, review, and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for management.
- Follow up and develop cost reduction initiatives within the logistics department.
- Ensure the implementation and adherence to the 5S system within the warehouse.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- More than 5 years of experience in logistics within the manufacturing sector, preferably in a similar role.
- High level of energy and a proactive approach to work.
- Commitment to acting in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by adhering to all ALPLA Group safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Proven ability to adapt to the company culture in terms of punctuality, attitude, responsibility, departmental integration, respect for individuals, rigor, accuracy, and health and safety standards.
Required Skills
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent digital skills for data analysis and financial management.
- Advanced knowledge in using specific logistics systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in professional English.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and reporting skills.
- High level of coordination with customers and effective internal communication.
- Ability to conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Proficiency in improvement initiatives and Lean Management within the logistics department.
- Experience in setting up and ensuring the accuracy of ALPLA Prod and ERP systems.
- Effective management of communication processes, internal and external.
- Ability to enter data and support the budgeting process.
