About the Associate Director Commercial Role

Saudia Dairy and Foodstuff Company (SADAFCO) is seeking an Associate Director Commercial to lead the commercial strategy for the Snacking & Convenience Business Unit. This full-time position, based in Jeddah, requires 8-12 years of experience to drive sustainable revenue growth and market excellence.

Role Objective and Scope

The primary objective of this role is to translate the Business Unit's strategy into actionable channel plans. The Associate Director Commercial will be responsible for enhancing trade investment effectiveness, developing channels, and setting execution standards. This involves close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure cohesive and consistent delivery of commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver on revenue, margin, and trade investment targets for the Snacking & Convenience Business Unit.
• Monitor performance against targets and implement necessary corrective actions.
• Provide commercial input for forecasting and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
• Develop and execute channel strategies across Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Wholesale, E-commerce, and Convenience channels.
• Drive expansion of distribution, assortment, and visibility within priority customer accounts.
• Identify new growth opportunities and support key commercial negotiations.
• Plan and manage trade spend across all channels and customers, ensuring clear ROI and performance outcomes.
• Evaluate promotion effectiveness and optimize spend allocation for maximum impact.
• Ensure effective execution of commercial plans, driving availability, visibility, and activation standards.
• Monitor execution KPIs and address performance gaps to ensure consistent delivery.
• Analyze performance data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
• Generate actionable insights on pricing, promotions, and assortment strategies.
• Monitor competitor activities and develop appropriate response strategies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure aligned execution of commercial plans.
• Manage budgets and ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting, adhering to company policies.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Trade Marketing team, setting clear objectives and performance standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
• 8-12 years of experience in the FMCG sector.
• Strong exposure to Trade Marketing, Channel Management, or Commercial Planning.
• Solid experience across key channels including Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Wholesale, E-commerce, and Convenience.
• Good understanding of distribution strategies, in-store execution, and customer dynamics.
• Experience with trade marketing campaigns, visibility materials, planograms, and budget management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team.
• Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is required.
