About the Director of Sales & Marketing Role

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing for its property in Jeddah. This full-time position requires a strategic leader to drive room night sales and maximize hotel profitability. The role involves leading sales and marketing efforts to achieve and exceed revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for a range of duties focused on revenue generation and market presence. Key tasks include:

• Managing daily sales activities and providing team coaching to ensure optimal performance.
• Achieving personal and team sales goals to contribute to overall hotel profitability.
• Developing and implementing comprehensive sales plans designed to increase occupancy, average rates, volume, and food and beverage and banquet sales.
• Producing and reviewing monthly performance reports to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
• Leading marketing initiatives to promote hotel services, offerings, and amenities to guests.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the necessary qualifications and experience to effectively lead the sales and marketing functions.

• A Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification, or equivalent in marketing or a related field.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in sales and marketing within the hospitality or hotel industry.
• Direct supervisory experience over a sales team.
• Strong knowledge of local businesses and current business trends.
• Fluency in the local language(s) is required.
• Proficiency in other languages is preferred.
