As a key member of the Exhibitions and Programming team at Art Jameel, you will contribute to the research, planning, and implementation of dynamic exhibitions and public programs at Hayy Jameel and the Jameel Arts Centre.

Main Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Deputy Director and other curatorial team members to ensure timely and original exhibitions.
• Develop strong relationships with local and international artists.
• Conceive and curate visionary exhibitions, including single-artist showcases and thematic group shows.
• Work alongside design teams to enhance visitor experience through high-quality exhibition design.
• Seek resources to support exhibitions through partnerships with development colleagues.
• Manage and mentor the curatorial team, including assistants and interns.
• Participate in public speaking engagements and public programs.
• Research and propose acquisitions for the Art Jameel Collection.

Requirements:

• Graduate-level degree in the Arts or Humanities.
• Minimum of four years of experience in exhibitions or collections.
• Experience in public programming, including talks and workshops.
• Broad knowledge of international contemporary art.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong writing, research, and organizational skills.

• Willingness to work onsite and engage in street buying.
• Good command of English, ERBs, and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of procurement basics including RFQ, PR, PO, PI, CI, and GRN.
• Fair business communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Procurement certification is a plus.
• Awareness of SFDA/SASO requirements.
• Understanding of customs clearance and the Fasah system.
