General Accountant

Kerten Hospitality is seeking a General Accountant to join The House Hotel Jeddah team. This full-time role is based in Jeddah and involves leading accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, and closing activities, supporting a growing hospitality operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the hotel’s general ledger, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of all transactions.
• Ensure smooth operation of accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll support.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure timely preparation of financial reports.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and government entities on audits, VAT, zakat, and statutory filings.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee inventory counts and cost control records.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies, internal controls, and local accounting and tax regulations.
• Train and support staff on accounting procedures, financial systems, and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting.
