About the Sales Revenue Planner Role
Mondelēz International is seeking a Sales Revenue Planner to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time position focuses on executing revenue management strategies to optimize the return on investment for trade spend activities. The role requires a candidate with 2-5 years of experience, a strong commercial understanding, and the ability to analyze data and drive planning processes.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Revenue Planner will contribute by:
- Collaborating with customer teams to monitor progress against revenue Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Conducting promotional post-evaluations in conjunction with Finance and Marketing departments.
- Supporting the Customer Planning Manager with regular reporting, including volume tracking, trade spend analysis, promotional percentage tracking, and seasonal activity monitoring.
- Overseeing the revenue realization of any cost price increases.
- Working with customer teams and Sales Finance to ensure accurate accrual of all trade spend within the system.
- Participating in customer forecast meetings to understand market dynamics and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Approving promotional activities in accordance with established guidelines, including regular reviews of promotional spend.
Planning and Execution
This role involves detailed planning and execution, including:
- Developing comprehensive bottom-up plans at the customer/channel level for categories and Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) in terms of volume and spend.
- Collaborating closely with sales colleagues to jointly drive optimal plans.
- Developing plans for New Product Development (NPD) launches and activations, tracking and reporting progress during the launch year/month, and completing post-launch evaluations.
- Performing necessary due diligence to ensure the right and timely implementation of all trade plans.
- Ensuring excellent execution of activations and launches, clarifying responsibilities, timelines, and actions for all relevant personnel.
- Monitoring promotional flyer adherence to the plan and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Proactively addressing ad hoc issues and opportunities.
Analysis and Insights
The position requires strong analytical capabilities:
- Conducting category/customer-wise analysis of primary and customer Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) data to inform stakeholders about trends, issues, effective strategies, and areas for improvement, proposing action plans where necessary.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of the trade landscape for relevant categories and the competitive environment, sharing these insights with stakeholders for informed decision-making.
- Understanding the category/customer Profit and Loss (PnL) and identifying the drivers behind performance relative to the plan.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess the following:
- 3 to 5 years of work experience in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), specifically in trade marketing, category planning, or marketing roles.
- A university degree in business or a related field.
- Expertise in category management is considered a senior-level requirement for this position.

- Proficiency in synthesizing multiple data points into a holistic understanding.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

- A proactive approach to finding new and innovative solutions.
- High level of proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Very good communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Experience in a fast-moving consumer goods or consumer packaged goods environment is a distinct advantage.
- Customer and category knowledge is a distinct advantage.
Travel requirements for this position are flexible. No relocation support is available.
