About the Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to a major project, requiring a candidate with a proven background in engineering consultancy firms, specifically in design review, coordination, and site supervision. The role involves ensuring the successful execution of structural aspects for complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate structural designs, drawings, and calculations to ensure compliance with project specifications and relevant international standards.
• Coordinate effectively with design consultants, contractors, and client representatives to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Monitor construction activities on-site to ensure strict adherence to approved drawings and quality standards.
• Provide technical support and resolve structural-related issues that arise during the construction phase.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with all safety and quality requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
• Participate in meetings with stakeholders, offering structural engineering input and guidance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 12 to 15 years of progressive experience in structural engineering.
• Mandatory experience working with engineering consultants, including roles in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) or Design Consultancy.
• In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards such as ACI, BS, and Eurocodes.
• Proven experience in managing and contributing to large-scale infrastructure and building projects.
• Proficiency in utilizing structural analysis and design software.
