About the Service Team Leader Role
United Motors Company is seeking a Service Team Leader to supervise a team of auto technicians. This full-time position is based in Jeddah and Makkah within the Makkah Region. The role involves overseeing the diagnostics, service, and repair of customer vehicles, ensuring adherence to company standards and efficient team performance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordinate, lead, and participate in team activities for vehicle maintenance, diagnosis, and repair.
- Plan, assign, and direct the work of auto technicians.
- Inspect technician work to ensure it meets principal and Company standards.
- Train technicians on new procedures.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies.
- Analyze work orders to assess vehicle condition, diagnosis accuracy, and labor time.
- Requisition parts, compute work orders, and prepare service records and reports.
- Clarify unclear or incorrect work orders with the Service Advisor.
- Determine required parts and tools and ensure their availability for repairs.
- Inform the Service Advisor if additional parts need to be ordered.
- Complete routine services and repairs within assigned timeframes.
- Document completed work orders, including repairs, parts, and labor involved.
- Document any additional services or repairs performed.
- Note any other vehicle problems observed during servicing and document proposed additional repairs, required parts, and labor charges for customer approval.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A related diploma or certificate from a technical school or training program.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a dealership service outlet performing routine automobile services.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Technical knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Transmission, or Air-conditioning, including service requirements and issue diagnosis.
- Good communication skills.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are desirable.
Work Location and Type
This is a full-time position located in Jeddah and Makkah, within the Makkah Region.
