SJ Group is seeking a highly organized and experienced Planning Engineer to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a proactive individual with a strong background in project planning and scheduling, ideally within a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient execution of projects through meticulous planning and reporting. Key Responsibilities
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for a range of duties focused on project planning and execution. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough schedule reviews to ensure project timelines are met and to identify potential risks.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules.
- Managing and analyzing project data to support planning and decision-making processes.
- Preparing and presenting clear and concise project reports to stakeholders.
- Utilizing Power BI for data visualization and reporting purposes.
- Leveraging Microsoft Excel and Power Queries for efficient data manipulation and analysis.
- Preparing presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint to communicate project status and plans effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience in planning engineering.
- Solid experience in conducting schedule reviews.
- Preferably 2-3 years of experience within a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) environment.
- Proficiency in the Arabic language is mandatory.
- Availability for a new role on short notice, ideally less than 1 month.
- Preference will be given to candidates already located in Jeddah.
