About the Recruitment Specialist Role
Batterjee Medical College (BMC), located in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to join its team. This full-time position is central to attracting and securing top-tier talent, supporting the college's mission of excellence in education, research, and healthcare.
Role Overview and Contribution
The Recruitment Specialist will collaborate with various faculty and administrative departments to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. This role is responsible for managing a seamless hiring process, ensuring BMC attracts qualified professionals who contribute to its academic and healthcare objectives.
Core Responsibilities
- Source candidates through diverse channels, including job boards, social media, and professional networks.
- Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidate qualifications.
- Participate in technical interviews and provide constructive feedback to hiring managers.
- Maintain a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Communicate effectively with candidates regarding application status and subsequent steps.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and faculty or administrative staff.
- Participate in job fairs, open houses, and other recruitment events to promote BMC.
- Build relationships with local universities and healthcare organizations to establish talent pipelines.
- Maintain and update Zoho with candidate information and recruitment metrics.
- Prepare regular reports on recruitment activities and outcomes to evaluate effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies within the recruitment process.
- Stay current on best practices in recruitment and hiring, particularly within the academic and healthcare sectors.
- Work closely with HR colleagues to align recruitment strategies with overall organizational goals.
- Provide support and training to hiring managers on effective interviewing techniques and recruitment processes.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in recruitment, with a preference for experience in a higher education or healthcare setting.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of the healthcare education landscape.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
