About the Role

Emcotech Arabia is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer with specialized expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the successful and timely completion of projects to high standards. The Senior Planning Engineer will lead the planning and scheduling for all MEP scopes across active projects, collaborating with project management, technical, and commercial departments to ensure seamless execution from mobilization to final handover. The position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed MEP project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline programs, recovery schedules, and weekly/monthly look-ahead plans.
• Monitor project progress, track Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI), and report variances against the baseline.
• Review subcontractor programs for alignment with the master project schedule.
• Present progress updates to senior management and client representatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years of planning experience in the MEP and contracting sectors, with at least 3 years in a senior planning role.
• Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
• Experience with MS Project is considered a strong advantage.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Strong command of Earned Value Management (EVM) and critical path analysis.
• Familiarity with various delay analysis methodologies.
• Solid understanding of MEP systems, construction sequencing, and practical site execution principles.
